Gabriela Rotariu – Manager in the Eastern Townships in Quebec and Romania, with a passion for excellence. She holds an MBA in marketing, and has over 20 years of experience in management. A powerful relationship builder, she begins her work in a private seniors’ residence as Director of Operations in 2017, after working in the hotel industry and teaching at the Sherbrooke Seminary in hotel management.
In 2018 she began a B.A. in Psychology at Bishop’s University, and is currently specializing in aging, while conducting research on the effects of animal-assisted interventions on the well-being of residents with and without cognitive impairments. Her focus is on the well-being of both humans and animals.
Her main goal is to find ways to achieve healthy, joyful and meaningful aging. She accompanies people with cognitive disabilities with compassion and respect, while considering their preserved abilities and their desire to give back to the community. Familiar with the Montessori method as applied to children, she is convinced of the effectiveness of the principles and theory of learning implemented by Dr. Maria Montessori. Maria Montessori.
